Explore an Estuary

Join us for a guided nature walk throughout the Preserve! Learn all about estuaries and why they are important for our water, wildlife, and way of life. Participants will hear about some ways they can help to preserve, protect, and restore the Inland Bays!

Participants will spend the majority of the program walking along the Preserve’s trails. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes for comfort and safety. Please bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellent, as the Preserve can be buggy at times.

The walk will cover approximately 1.5 - 2 miles across various terrains, including wooden boardwalks, tree roots, and sandy paths, with frequent stops along the way.

Important Notes:

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

This program is weather permitting.

Attendance is free, but registration is encouraged.

For the privacy and comfort of our participants, staff, and volunteers, video or audio recording is not permitted during our programs. Guests are welcome to take photographs, but we ask that you do so in a way that respects the privacy of others. Thank you for helping us keep our programs safe and welcoming for everyone.
