About this Event
Join us for a transformative seminar, “Exploration of God Passes By,” with Professor William Maxwell, scheduled for November 25-27. This in-depth course delves into Shoghi Effendi's God Passes By, uncovering a profound cycle of crises, divine response, and triumphs that shape the evolution of human history.
Under Professor Maxwell’s expert guidance, participants will explore the “Theory of History” as outlined by Shoghi Effendi, highlighting key themes such as crisis, celestial grace, and victorious unfoldment. In this hands-on, collaborative workshop, attendees will work in teams to analyze cycles of crises and victories and create vivid 3-minute vignettes that illustrate these cycles. Through this approach, participants gain insight into how crises lead to spiritual breakthroughs and drive the upward march of humanity.
Professor Maxwell, a distinguished educator with extensive experience in global education and research, brings unique insights into Shoghi Effendi’s work. He has taught at universities across six continents and has an impressive background in educational leadership and international research. His work has influenced generations of students, educators, and thinkers worldwide, with a focus on improving thinking skills and fostering global understanding.
Whether you’re a seasoned scholar or new to God Passes By, this seminar promises a blend of storytelling, intellectual engagement, and spiritual discovery. Professor Maxwell’s insights, coupled with practical applications of Shoghi Effendi’s theories, provide tools to better understand the unfolding patterns of history and their relevance to our present and future.
