Expert biography

Pranath Fernando has over 20 years experience in the tech industry as a web developer, data scientist and AI consultant, as well as experience in AI research at Sussex University. He has advised both small startups and large businesses on AI strategy.

He's also the creator of The FuturAI; an email newsletter, online magazine, tutorials & podcast helping people learn about AI the easy way.

Pranath has a passion and a talent for explaining complex technical concepts, in a simple way that can be more easily understood.

He has seen first hand the potential of AI to bring real business value in new and transformative ways, and is keen to help businesses better understand and take advantage of this new technology.

All our expert one-to-one meetings on offer are free, but places are limited as our business expert partners are giving their valuable time to the BIPC and to you for free while fitting these sessions into their busy schedule. What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited - especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing [email protected].

Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
