Experimental Monoprinting Workshop
About this Event
These intensive and fun one-day courses will cover several techniques in monoprint and monotype printmaking, including layering, over-printing, textures, masking and transparent colours.
Book a single course or both weeks; work produced in week 1 can be overprinted on the second week. Different aspects of monotype and gel printing will be covered in both weeks. Students could bring textures if they wish, and foliage can be brought in to print with.
The print will be produced using oil-based inks that are water-washable, so old or painting clothes are recommended. Please bring a folder to transport your work home. You'll be using the etching presses, so for safety, no open-toed sandals or shoes are permitted. Max 12 per session, suitable for adventurous beginners and advanced printmakers alike!
