Immerse yourself in the rhythm of love, art, and storytelling at Night Rhythm, a captivating visual love story by David Narens in collaboration with the Dandelion Artist Alliance. Inspired by the soulful music of Spencer Day, this exhibition blends the nostalgic charm of 1958 with the energy of today’s city life, inviting you to imagine the romance and excitement of a night out—perhaps one like the artist’s own parents might have enjoyed before his birth. Through a series of cinematic paintings, Narens follows the recurring characters Jack and Jill on an emotionally rich evening, capturing moments of anticipation, longing, and joy like scenes from a timeless film.
Join us for the Opening Night Celebration on Saturday, August 16th, from 5–9 PM during ArtWauk, as the gallery transforms into an interactive experience. Costumed dancers portraying Jack and Jill will animate key scenes with moving performances, while guests take part in “Create Your Own Rhythm Art,” a hands-on craft activity inspired by the exhibition’s themes of movement and connection.
