Every third saturday of the month, Urban Earth hosts a free seminar on a variety of garden and plant topics. This month we are excited to host Kim Halyak of Experience Memphis Gardens and the Cooper Young Garden Club. Kim is an avid gardener, garden speaker, and retired teacher. In 2016, she co-founded the annual garden extravaganza, Cooper-Young Garden Walk which celebrates over 60+ inspiring, urban gardens in Cooper-Young. In 2023, she co-founded Experience Memphis Gardens, a citywide garden walk, encompassing 35 neighborhoods and 200+ gardens. Kim believes that beautiful spaces have the power to change a city.
