About this Event

Ready to take your embroidery beyond the basics?

This intermediate embroidery workshop is designed for those who already have some experience with foundational stitches and want to expand their creative possibilities. Together, we'll explore four versatile stitches that add texture, dimension, and detail to embroidered designs.

You'll practice each stitch through guided exercises before applying them to a design of your choice on a garment or accessory that you bring with you.

Whether you're looking to elevate your embroidery skills, add new techniques to your toolkit, or spend a creative afternoon stitching alongside others, this workshop offers a supportive space to learn and experiment.

Please bring one fabric item you'd like to embroider, such as a tote bag, denim jacket, shirt, pencil case, or other textile accessory.

What You'll Learn

In this workshop, you'll learn:

• Lazy Daisy Stitch
• Colonial Knot
• Fishbone Stitch
• Chain Stitch

You'll also learn:

• How to use these stitches to create texture and decorative details
• Tips for combining stitches within a single design
• Pattern placement and stitch selection
• Finishing techniques and troubleshooting common issues

Materials will be provided during the workshop, though participants are welcome to bring their own embroidery supplies if preferred.

Who This Workshop Is For

This workshop is intended for participants who are already familiar with basic embroidery techniques and feel comfortable threading a needle, working with an embroidery hoop, and completing simple stitches.

It is ideal for:

• Previous embroidery workshop participants
• Hobbyists looking to expand their stitch repertoire
• Makers interested in adding more detail and texture to their projects
• Anyone ready to move beyond beginner-level embroidery

This is a small workshop with a maximum of six participants to ensure plenty of individual guidance and support.

Spaces are limited.
