Exit on Your Terms: Preparing Your Business, Wealth and Future
About this Event
Every business owner will eventually leave their business, but achieving the right outcome takes careful planning.
Whether an exit is already on your horizon or still several years away, the decisions you make now can influence what your business is worth, how attractive it is to potential buyers and how much of the value you ultimately retain.
Join Samantha Hawkins of Elevanti Advisory, Nusrat Qureishi of stevensdrake solicitors and Samantha Kaye of True Potential for an exclusive, interactive day-long event exploring the commercial, legal and personal considerations involved in preparing for a business exit.
Held shortly after the Autumn Budget, the event will also provide an opportunity to consider the latest tax and financial developments and what they may mean for business owners planning for the future.
This will be a practical working session rather than a traditional seminar. Attendance is limited to a small group of business owners, allowing the speakers to tailor the discussion, answer individual questions and give attendees the opportunity to work through their own circumstances.
During the day, you will explore:
- Where your business currently sits and how ready it is for an eventual exit
- The different exit routes available and how they compare
- The factors that can reduce the value of a business or delay a transaction
- What prospective buyers examine during due diligence
- How to strengthen your business before taking it to market
- How much you may need personally following an exit
- Retirement planning, pensions and protecting your family
- What could happen to your wealth after a sale
- The potential impact of the Autumn Budget on your plans
You will also receive practical materials, including an Exit Readiness Scorecard and a legal exit readiness checklist, to help you identify your priorities and next steps.
Who should attend?
This event is designed for owners and directors of established businesses who:
- May be considering a sale, succession or another exit route
- Want to understand what their business could be worth
- Are unsure which exit options may be available to them
- Want to make the business less dependent on them personally
- Would like to identify and address issues before a buyer does
- Want to align their business exit with their personal financial plans
You do not need to be actively preparing to sell. The earlier you begin planning, the more opportunity you have to strengthen the business and shape the eventual outcome.
Places are strictly limited
To keep the event interactive, useful and tailored to those attending, places are limited to a small group of approximately 15 to 20 business owners.
If you would like to join us, please reserve your place as soon as possible.
