EXISTENTIAL KINK SHADOW WORK WORKSHOP

Do you ever feel a hidden ceiling on how much you allow yourself to receive in life?

Is there a limit to your abundance—whether in work, relationships, creativity, finances, joy, or success?

Do familiar patterns keep repeating, holding you back from the life you truly desire?

Do you sense that, in some way, you’ve been playing smaller than you really are?

If so, this circle is an invitation to your liberation.

In this workshop, we will explore the practice of Existential Kink within a supportive circle.

Developed by Dr. Carolyn Elliott, Existential Kink is a shadow work approach that explores a provocative truth: the “problems” in our lives often persist because—at a hidden, unconscious level—we are receiving a secret, taboo pleasure from them.

In this nervous-system-first space, you will be guided to gently uncover and explore the hidden pleasure you may be receiving from a “negative” situation or recurring pattern in your life.

You will be celebrated in expressing the taboo emotional range that has 'not been allowed' within this pattern, which may be holding a lot of personal power; allowing your system to release the stored charge around these patterns. This release frees the life force that has been bound up in these patterns, restoring more vitality and creativity.

This is a spiritual, psychological, and somatic experience—crafted to help you dissolve the limitations that may have held you back for years.

By bringing your shadow into the light—fully expressed, witnessed, and embraced— you can transmute it into gold: restoring the creative energy, freedom, and wholeness that has always been yours.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS WORKSHOP:

• An embodied circle space, based on the work of Heart IQ. This type of circle is a combination of other modalities, including: a sharing circle, constellation work, circling and group forum.

• Circle is a place to expand your emotional energetic range. The premise of this work is that every 'problem' in our life can be traced back to a range of expression that is 'not allowed.' Circle is space that invites the 'not allowed' shadow ranges to be explored and expressed through the body, creating liberation in all areas of our life.

• Exercises that guide you gently into your body, into connection, and into the framework for this modality of shadow work.

• There may be sexual themes and energies explored in this workshop, on the mat, in the centre of the circle. However, you will not be expected to join or take part in any of these pieces of work, unless you feel called and in full consent to join. It is possible to just be a sacred witness the circle if you do not wish to enter your own, or other people's, process.

• This is a trauma aware, consent based space, where your nervous system will be prioritised and your 'yes' and 'no' held as fully welcome and sacred.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR:

• People who are lit up by exploring their shadow ranges within a heightened field of sacred witnesses. People who may feel some fear and trepidation, but also excitment at the invitation.

• People of all ages (21+), races, sexualites, genders.

• People who already have a very good integration of boundaries and consent, who are used to expressing and receiving boundaries from others.

• People who have some experince of being in a circle space (of any kind) and of personal development spaces.

• People who are able to hold themselvs and express their needs if triggers arise. (There will be trauma informed assistance in the space, but an ability to self regulate through activation is also important.)

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP NOT FOR:

• People who are looking for a sexuality space, rather than a shadow work space. Who are desiring to be met sexually, rather than explore their own inner landscape.

• People with a lot of unmet or unresolved trauma that might currently be too much for a group space to hold, and who could still benefit from 1:1 trauma work.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Nicola Cross is a fully trained Existential Kink Coach. She offers 1:1 coaching at www.magickembodied.com. Nicola is personally mentored 1:1 by Dr Carolyn Elliott (now Carolyn Lovewell).

Nicola is trained in trauma informed, emergent group facitation. (The Field 2024 w/Rachel Rickards).

She is mid way through a several years' long traning with Heart IQ in embodied circle work, and has trained in advanced somatic shadow work with Maannee Chrystal and Christian Pankurst.

Nicola is trained in Transpersonal Psychology (Pyschosynthesis Trust) and Integrateive Arts Psychotherapy (IATE). She has a passion for creating non-dual spaces for transformation, that hold the light and the dark side by side.
