Peter Max is a German-American artist famous for hisvibrant, psychedelic Pop Art that defined the 1960s and 70s counterculture. Characterized by bold, bright, "rainbow-hued", and "cosmic" designs, his work often features themes of peace, love, and figures like the Umbrella Man and Statue of Liberty. Max is also recognized for high-profile commissions, including the 1994 World Cup, Grammy Awards, Super Bowl posters and the Beatles iconic Yellow Submarine.
