Two of Britain’s greatest painters, J.M.W. Turner and John Constable were also fierce rivals, both using landscape painting to reflect their changing world—Constable with old school realism, Turner with abstraction and dreamlike impressions. Drawing on sketchbooks, personal items, and commentary from leading experts, this documentary celebrates the 250th anniversary of their births as well as the Tate Britain’s groundbreaking exhibition.
