Neda Contreras’s oil paintings blend whimsical beach scenes with skeletons, lowrider scenes depicting the society and culture in the Southwest, rooted in Mexican Folk Art traditions. Her works, from playful portraits inspired by iconic Surrealist artists to ex-voto pieces reflecting gratitude, use rich earth tones and layered oils, inviting viewers to smile and reflect on her unique narratives.Exhibition: September 9, 2024 - January 9, 2025
