Join us at Galway City Library on Tuesday 2nd July at 6pm when artist Dr. Kinan will hold a launch event for her new exhibition at Galway City Library.
Dr. Kinan is a Palestinian artist from Jordan. She holds a PhD of Art Education from Egypt. She made a series of these paintings while inspired by the decorative symbols of Palestinian women’s dresses. They were created by reconsidering their shapes and formulations, while preserving their heritage value, and employing these symbols in an innovative manner in terms of composition, material, technique, and colors.
Dr. Kinan finished these paintings in 2014, and they are considered part of the practical experience of her doctoral thesis.
This launch event is open to all.
