We are delighted to offer visitors to the National Waterways Museum Gloucester an exclusive opportunity to take a behind the scenes tour of Kathleen and May as she undergoes maintenance in the historic Gloucester Docks. The tour is free to anyone who books a museum ticket or a boat trip on the Dunkirk Little Ship Queen Boadicea II.
The Kathleen & May is Britain’s last working three mast, wooden hull topsail schooner and is one of the few remaining links to the long-vanished trading fleets that used to sail Britain’s waters.
⛵When: The tours begin at 2.30pm and last for 45-60 mins. Bookings are available on the following dates: Thursday 12th September; Friday 13th September; Thursday, 19th September; Friday, 20th September; Saturday 21st September; Thursday 26th September; Friday 27th September and Saturday 28th September.
🏛Where: The meeting point is at the National Waterways Museum Gloucester. It is then a short walk to Kathleen & May in the Gloucester Docks.
🎟Booking: The tours are free, but only available to customers who have bought museum admission, have an annual pass, or have bought a ticket for our trip Queen Boadicea II. There are two ways to book:

In person: Book your ticket at the museum for entry to the galleries or a boat trip, plus the Kathleen & May Tour.
Due to the historic nature of Kathleen & May, unfortunately the tour is not wheelchair or buggy accessible, although buggies can be left safely on the quayside.
