It's time for Exchange Place's Fall Folk Arts Festival, 2026 Edition at Exchange Place Living History Farm in Kingsport, TN!
-- Saturday, September 26th, 10 AM – 5 PM
-- Sunday, September 27th, 12 PM – 5 PM
Admission: $5 (Ages 12 & up), Free for children under 12
-- Tickets available at the gate only – no presales
Celebrate the spirit of autumn at the 2026 edition of Exchange Place's Fall Folk Arts Festival — a tradition that blends Appalachian heritage with hands-on fun, all while supporting the care of Exchange Place's historic buildings, grounds, and animals.
**Artisans & Demonstrations**
Regional artists and guilds will showcase both traditional and contemporary crafts, offering demonstrations and sharing timeless skills with the next generation.
**Harvest Market**
Shop for seasonal produce, plants, and fall-themed crafts from local vendors.
**Sorghum Making Demonstration (Saturday only!)**
Watch sorghum syrup come to life as cane is ground by a mule-powered mill (featuring Maggie T. Mule!) and cooked over a wood-fired furnace. While the cooking demonstration occurs on only Saturday, you can still meet Maggie on Sunday too!
**Living History**
* 1850s-style cooking in the Cook's Cabin
* Blacksmith at the anvil
* Children’s “chores” and games
* Junior Apprentices sharing food traditions of the past
**Live Music All Weekend**
Enjoy traditional tunes and toe-tapping favorites throughout the farmstead.
**Old-Timey Foods**
Don’t miss the kettle corn, fried pies, BBQ, soup beans & cornbread, and more!
