Excavating Happy Hour: Digging into 8,000 years of wine.
About this Event
A Long Time Ago... (But Not So Far Away)
Excavating Happy Hour
Digging into 8,000 years of wine.
Every bottle has a beginning.
Not in France. Not in Italy. But in the mountains and valleys stretching from the Caucasus to the Eastern Mediterranean, where people first discovered that grapes could become something worth gathering around.
Long before wine crossed the Alps, filled the cellars of Burgundy, or found its way into cafés across Europe, it was fermenting in buried clay vessels, traveling ancient trade routes, and becoming part of everyday life. These are the places where wine first took root—and where traditions have endured through thousands of harvests, countless empires, and generations of families who never stopped making it.
Together we'll taste six wines that connect us to those traditions while meeting the people keeping them alive today.
The past is waiting in your glass.
Think of it as a happy hour... eight thousand years in the making.
