Beloved Community,In light of current circumstances within our Austin conscious community, we invite you to an in-person community conversation to address the pressing issues of predatory behaviors and explore how we, as a community, will tackle these challenges together.
Keith and I have initiated a monthly community meet-up, and now is the time for all of us to come together in a solutions-based conversation.
We aim to use insights from this discussion to help inform the development of a step-by-step procedural protocol for addressing problematic situations and behaviors. Drawing from a comprehensive set of conflict resolution strategies, we will tailor and implement these tools into a practical, actionable process that can be applied to specific instances within our community.

Calling In Community Leaders:
We specifically invite leaders and event facilitators to join us in taking a stand. Together, we can co-create an agreed-upon method to safely and effectively address these concerns.

This is a solutions-based conversation. To ensure a safe and loving space:
• No bullying or aggression will be tolerated.
• While these topics may bring up delicate and emotional responses, we ask that participants refrain from shaming, humiliating, or belittling anyone’s perspective.
• It is important to provide space for all feelings while focusing on actionable ways to address the issues and move forward.

• We respect everyone’s privacy and desire for safety.
• Please refrain from identifying or naming specific individuals during this discussion. Instead, we encourage a broader focus on patterns and recurring issues within the community.
• While this conversation will focus on general concerns, our goal is to develop a team of leaders and a system of remediation to address specific cases appropriately in the future.

While we may not always agree with one another, we recognize that each person is living a unique life experience. This container is designed to foster acknowledgment, respect, and learning through diverse viewpoints.
Our intention is for these conversations to encourage personal reflection, integration of new perspectives, and evolution as compassionate, conscious beings.

Event Flow:
Doors open: 6:00 PM (doors will close at 6:30 PM). Please arrive on time. If you need to arrive late, contact one of us directly in advance.
1. Opening Grounding:
We will begin with a grounding meditation and movement to release tension from the day and harmonize as a group.
2. Introductions and Check-In:
A quick round of personal introductions and group check-ins.
3. Small Group Discussions:
Break into small groups to discuss prompts about community safety, shared concerns, and desires. Some participants will have the opportunity to share insights with the larger group.
4. Group Inquiries:
Regroup for a collaborative “popcorn-style” response to explore broader community inquiries.
5. Open Discussion:
The floor will open for participants to discuss topics present in the space, guided by our agreements to honor anonymity and compassion.
6. Solutions-Based Suggestions:
We will close by exploring actionable solutions and extend an invitation for deeper involvement in a leadership circle.

Extended Invitation:
Recognizing the urgency of these conversations, we are hosting a preliminary leadership call to prepare for the larger community event.
• Preliminary Leadership Call:
We invite committed leaders and facilitators in our community to join us for a small group Zoom call on December 22nd. This call will focus on co-creating a safe and effective container for the larger event.
• Community Event:
The main community event will take place in person on January 5th. This gathering will provide an opportunity for broader participation, collaboration, and solutions-focused dialogue.
