About this Event
Together, we will journey back to the time of nomadic, ancestral communities and explore how herbs were gathered, prepared, and used in daily life. We’ll reflect on what has changed and what remains deeply the same in our relationship with herbalism today. Through discussion and shared inquiry, we’ll consider how modern herbal practices connect us to our roots and what we can learn from the wisdom of our ancestors.
Annette "Penny" Taylor is a resident of Ventura and out of work lunch lady. She also has a B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara (that she earned in 1992) and Master's degree in Educational Psychology from Cal State, Northridge that she earned in 1998. Since then, she has been studying Evolutionary Psychology and Biology in her spare time. You can find some of her articles on Psychology Today, Google Scholar, LinkedIn, Medium, and in the VC Reporter. Her website, cavewellerclub.com, chronicles her deep dive into what makes human beings tick, and she loves to take people back in time and explore life long ago.
