We are delighted to welcome back Ewan Hastie to Cellar Magnifique, following his previous standout performance with us. By just 23, this left-handed double bassist has already established himself as one of the most exciting young voices in UK jazz, combining remarkable technical skill with a deeply expressive and intuitive style.

Winner of BBC Young Jazz Musician 2022 and recipient of the Scottish Jazz Awards’ Best Instrumentalist, Ewan’s playing is rooted in the rich tradition of jazz while feeling fresh, dynamic, and full of character. His experience spans performances across the UK and Europe, collaborations with leading names on the jazz scene, and a First Class Honours degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Expect an evening of beautifully crafted jazz, where warm, resonant bass lines meet fluid improvisation in an intimate setting.
