Sam Raimi's Evil Dead II (1987, Rated R) is a cabin in the woods, a book that should never have been read aloud, and Bruce Campbell versus everything, including his own hand. It's half horror, half slapstick, and all-out splatter, and it plays best with a loud crowd.
