Ferociously original and unrelenting terror are just a few descriptions that fit so well for "The Evil Dead" and the sequel "Dead by Dawn". "The Evil Dead" released in 1983, was based on a short film director Sam Rami had written entitled "Within the Woods". It starred his friend Bruce Campbell, who later appeared in all three of Sam's "Evil Dead" films.
"Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn" is essentially a remake of the original film with a bigger budget. Both these films would go on to not only create a franchise but begin a frenzy that is still relevant today. Few would argue that these two films are both horrific and yet comedic in tone. This in turn, makes them so endearing to a fanbase that adores them.
So "join us" if you will, for a night of unrelenting terror featuring these two classics along with a performance on the theatre's Wurlitzer organ by renowned musician Sol Rizzato. A special "Evil Dead" set by DJ Kung Fu Bob to kick off the night! Tom Sullivan who worked on both films as a special effects artist and created the infamous "Book of the Dead" or "Necronomicon" that was such a key element in these films, will be our "special guest". He will answer questions on stage and display his memorabilia from these two amazing films. "JOIN US" in the cabin in the woods for a night of "Evil Dead" madness!
