Course Description:
A solid understanding of today's preparation designs and resinbonding principles across ceramic and composite treatment options is essential for predictable, long-term clinical success. This course connects EVIDENCE-BASED, proven clinical protocols that you can immediately apply in your daily practice.
Starting with esthetic principles and clinical photography, the program transitions into an extensive hands-on experience. You will learn and practice updated preparation designs for indirect resin-bonded ceramic restorations, including laminate veneers, onlays, vonlays, resin-bonded bridges. You will also perform the actual bonding steps for these restorations as well as the flowable injection technique, all presented in a practical, step-by-step format.
Over two immersive full days, this program offers acomprehensive blend of lectures and guided, hands-on training, covering current restorative materials, technologies, and clinical concepts. The small-group personalized setting ensures dynamic andmeaningful interaction, skill development, and increased confidence in modern restorative workflows.

Learning Objectives:
• Differentiate modern ceramic materials properties and their best clinical indications.
• Understand and practice minimally invasive tooth preparations for resin-bonded ceramic restorations on anterior and posterior teeth.
Posterior onlay preparations, anterior veneer preparations and anterior cantilever adhesion bridge preparations.
• Understand and practice current cementation and resin-bonding protocols for long-term restorative success.
Markus Blatz, DMD, PhD
Dr. Markus B. Blatz is a Professor of Restorative Dentistry, Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences, and Assistant Dean for Digital Innovation and Professional Development at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he founded the Penn Dental Medicine CAD/CAM Ceramic Center. He graduated from University of Freiburg, Germany, and received an additional Doctorate Degree, Certificate in Prosthodontics, and Professorship from the same University.
He is co-founder and past President of the International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry, a founding member of the European Academy of Digital Dentistry, a Fellow in the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and member of several other professional societies.
