Everyday Heroes: A Guided Painting Experience

Come spend your Sunday morning painting, sipping coffee, and creating your own urban-inspired hero artwork with Warrior Heart Gallery™ at 787 Coffee in El Paso.
Everyday Heroes is a relaxed, beginner-friendly 90-minute guided painting experience led by local artist and U.S. Army veteran Mike Novotny.
Together, we'll work step-by-step from a featured hero-inspired design. But this isn't about everyone leaving with the exact same painting.
You'll be encouraged to experiment with your own colors, details, words, and creative choices to make the piece yours.
No art experience is needed. Seriously.
Whether you paint all the time or haven't picked up a brush in years, you're welcome. The goal isn't perfection. It's to spend a Sunday morning doing something creative, trying something different, and leaving with a piece of original artwork you created yourself.

What Is an Everyday Hero?
Heroes don't always wear costumes or make headlines.
Sometimes they're the people who show up. The people who keep going. The people who care for others, stand up for something, make us laugh, teach us, protect us, or inspire us.
During the experience, you'll have the opportunity to think about what “hero” means to you and bring some of that story into your painting.
Your hero can be personal, playful, symbolic, or completely imagined.
There is no right answer.
Meet Your Artist
Mike Novotny is a local El Paso artist, U.S. Army veteran, and founder of Warrior Heart Gallery™.
His creative work explores identity, story, resilience, and the experiences that shape who we become. Through Warrior Heart Gallery, Mike creates approachable art experiences that give people permission to experiment, reflect, and make something meaningful.
His philosophy is simple:
You don't have to be an artist to create something meaningful.
For Everyday Heroes, Mike will guide you through the painting process from beginning to end while giving you plenty of freedom to make the artwork your own.
