A Legacy of Critical Acclaim and Innovation
Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1995, Evergrey has become one of the most respected names in progressive metal.
With a career spanning over 30 years, the band has released 14 full-length albums, including groundbreaking works like Hymns for the Broken (2014), The Storm Within (2016), The Atlantic (2019), Escape of the Phoenix (2021), and their latest release, Theories of Emptiness (2024).

Each album has contributed to Evergrey’s status as pioneers in the genre, known for their emotionally charged songwriting, intricate compositions, and complex musicianship.
Evergrey’s unique blend of melancholic melodies and progressive metal has earned them widespread critical acclaim. Metal Hammer praised Hymns for the Broken as a “melancholic masterpiece,” while Blabbermouth hailed The Atlantic as a “sonic odyssey.”
The band’s 2021 album, Escape of the Phoenix, soared to #10 on Metal Hammer’s Best Progressive Metal Albums list, further solidifying their place as both innovators and modern trailblazers.
Their latest album, Theories of Emptiness (2024), mixed by acclaimed producer Adam “Nolly” Getgood (ex-Periphery), has been called a “critical triumph.” Loudwire applauded the album’s “bold orchestration” and the stunning guest vocals from Jonas Renkse of Katatonia.
With crystal-clear production and complex arrangements, the album continues to captivate listeners and critics alike, pushing the boundaries of the progressive metal genre.
