Evergreen Young Actor Auditions: It's A Wonderful Life

Auditions for It's A Wonderful Life will be held on September 21 & 22; 6:30-8:30 for adults and September 23; 6:30-8:00 for young actors. Actors ages 7+ are invited to audition. no experience necessary, all races, cultures, and genders invited to audition.

Auditions will be held at Evergreen's new space, the former Keller Elementary, located at 1806 Bond St, Green Bay.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the provided script. Those auditioning for the part of George will include a specific reading that will focus on the actor's ability to show despair and desperation in voice, body, and face.

Rehearsals:
Parent meeting and read-through will be September 27. Rehearsals will begin Monday, September 28 at 7pm. A copy of the tentative rehearsal schedule can be downloaded below. All young actors will be released by 8pm on their rehearsal days with the exception of tech/dress rehearsals.

The Story:
George Bailey is an ordinary all-American from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligations and civic duty. But when a mishap puts everything in danger, George's guardian angel has to descend on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and remind him - by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born - that his has been, after all, a wonderful life. This faithful adaptation celebrates the faith of the season as well as the love and support one gets from their family and community.

Clarence Odbody: A-S-2 (Angel Second Class)
Mr. Gower: Proprietor of the corner drug store
Young George: Age 12
Harry Bailey: George's younger brother
Mother Bailey: A very kind and understanding woman
Aunt Tilly: Uncle Billy's wife
Violet Peterson: Proprietor of a beauty salon
Bert: Patrolman
Ernie: Mail carrier
Uncle Billy: George's uncle and business partner
Mary Hatch: George's loving wife
Henry F. Potter: Owns practically the entire town
Mr. Potter's Goon: Ever-present with Mr. Potter
Mr. Potter's Secretary: Ever-faithful to Mr. Potter
Mrs. Hatch: Mary's mother
Sam Wainwright: Financially successful young man
Miss Andrews: Townsperson
Mrs. Thompson: Townsperson
Mr. Martini: Proprietor of a bar
