Background: Fiber is the raw material of fabric—like cotton, silk, or polyester—but fabric is created when those fibers are woven or knit together in a specific pattern. There's a lot to learn about the toxic chemicals fabric is treated with to evolves into clothing. Luckily there are infinate ways to keep textiles in circulation (repair, diy, upcycling, crafting, and more) that is best learned with community. Finally, there's a lot to learn as textiles are recycled: the microplastic paradox. Understanding all this, with experts, industry insiders, and makers can totally change the way you think about your clothes!
