Join us for a serene and reflective Evensong service on March 2nd, featuring works by two distinguished American composers set to traditional sacred texts. Amy Beach’s Nunc Dimittis offers a lyrical and expressive setting of the ancient canticle, rich with her signature harmonic warmth. Complementing this, Carlo Simon’s Sanctus evokes awe and reverence, blending contemporary textures with timeless sacred tradition.
Following Evensong, stay for a Post-Evensong Recital: an exploration of Bach's Cello Suite No.2, paired with readings from Henri Nouwen, played by saxophonist and church choir member Jacob Nevill.
