Join us for an evening of learning, discussion, and community connection!
In honor of the 200 year anniversary of the building of the Brown Stetson Sanford House (BSSH), Dr. Amy Wright will share two centuries of illuminating stories from this historic Milledgeville gem. The BSSH has served as a tavern, private home, restaurant, and, currently, a museum, witnessing the ebb and flow of Milledgeville’s rich and sometimes tumultuous history. Its elegant “Milledgeville Federal” style makes it a distinctive symbol of the city’s heritage
PRIZE DRAWING: December 2nd is Giving Tuesday and early donations officially begin in November. In appreciation of your support, for every $25 donated, you will get 1 entry in our Donation Appreciation Drawings, and our first drawing will take place TONIGHT! This year's GAgives fundraising campaign will help us promote mental health awareness, increase space for additional Central State Hospital Museum artifacts and displays with our east wing interior renovation project, and develop local heritage exhibits and educational programs for all visitors in 2026!
Evenings with History brings the past to life through engaging talks on local history. Each program features a different speaker sharing unique stories and expertise on various topics.
