Slow down, look closely, and turn observing flowers into playful, shared printmaking in these four evening workshops.
About this Event

Experiment with botanically inspired printmaking through Pochoir, Gelli, Tetrapak, and Block Printing in a relaxed evening environment at our studio alongside Castlegate's Grey to Green.

Sessions run 6 - 8.30pm. You are welcome to book alll four sessions or try just one or two.

No prior printmaking experience is required. You will create unique prints to take display at home or give as gifts.

What will I need to bring?

All materials and equipment will be provided.

Please wear old clothes as printing can get messy. No sandals, heels or open toed shoes. Aprons will be provided.

Teas, coffees and biscuits are provided.

This course is run by Aprille McShane and Joanna Rucklidge.

Specialising in relief printmaking, monoprint and monotype, Aprille has over ten years' experience in teaching and delivering visual art workshops for all ages. Her classes are aimed at beginners, and through her supportive approach she makes art accessible and inclusive for all.

Joanna is an artist, educator, and researcher exploring consumer culture and environmental awareness through experimental printmaking. With over 20 years of experience in art & design education at BA and MA level, she is currently studying for a PhD in Visual Communication at Sheffield Hallam University.

About Carousel Print Studio

Carousel Print Studio is a not for profit charity based on the ground floor of Exchange Place Studios in Castlegate, Sheffield. Carousel provides educational workshops in printmaking and opportunities for creatives in Sheffield, in a bright, warm, accessible and well equipped printmaking studio.

Carousel is located on the ground floor just to the left of reception. The doors are widened for ease of access and there is an accessible toilet. If you have any questions regarding access needs please do contact us at [email protected]
