WALK DETAILS
This walk is approximately 90 minutes (though allow 2 hours depending on group pace). We will walk from Henley Beach towards Grange for 45 minutes before returning to our cars.
This is an easy walk is along the shared use coastal path with the option to do some sand walking and/or walk along the jetty.
At the completion of the walk, you may wish to join us for dinner at Stella Restaurant. If you are keen to stay for dinner (at your own expense), please email us at [email protected] so we can ensure we book you in.
MEET TIME/LOCATION
Please arrive at our meet spot below at 5.45pm ready for a 6.00pm start.
NOTE: if the temperature is forecast to be 32 degrees or more on the Bureau of Meteorology website the walk may need to be modified or cancelled.
The meet spot for this walk is the grassed area at Henley Square, which is by the Henley Jetty. Meet your leader by the public toilets on the northern side of Henley Square.
There is a carpark here, but if it is full, you may need to park along the Esplanade or in the carpark to the South of Henley Square.

Don’t forget to print off your I.C.E. Medical Details Form which you can download from our website.
Your walk leader will have spare forms with them if you are unable to print from home.
WEATHER AND GEAR

If the weather forecast is for extreme weather, this walk will be cancelled the day before and fully refunded.
We will only cancel last minute (by text message and email) if there is a severe weather warning/thunderstorm warning or weather events that are likely to impact on the safety of our leaders and walkers.
Due to the variability of the weather, the following items will be needed:
- a daypack/backpack/bumbag or similar to carry your personal items
- 1-2 litres of water
- sun protection (hat, sunnies, suncream)
- wet weather gear (check the forecast and plan accordingly!)
- blister kit/personal medication
- any snacks/fruit you may wish to have along the way
- comfortable walking shoes
- layerable clothing for before/during/after the walk (eg. jumper/jacket)
Please ensure you have the minimum gear required as no refunds are possible after booking. If you arrive underprepared without wet weather clothing or the gear listed above, our Leaders have the right to ask you not to walk with us for safety reasons.
Note: All our leaders carry group first aid kits, emergency communication devices and are qualified walk leaders.
OTHER INFORMATION
Our walks are all about fun, fitness and friendship - not a personal training session. If we cannot walk and talk at the same time, we are walking too fast! And we never leave anyone behind.
Minimum age for our walks is 18 years of age.
For the walk to go ahead, we need a minimum of 6 walkers registered by the registration closing time (5pm the day before the walk). If a walk is cancelled due to the minimum number not being met, participants who have registered will be notified by text the evening before the walk and a refund will be given.
During our walks, photos may be taken for use publicly on our website, social media channels and e-newsletter. If you do not wish for your photo to be taken/used, please notify us via email - [email protected]
