Join us at Freedom Farm on Maple Ridge Place for a tender Evening Meditation at the Farm created especially for those grieving the loss of a beloved pet.
Losing a cherished animal companion leaves a unique and profound hole in our hearts. This gently guided evening at the farm offers a compassionate space to honor that bond, remember the love you shared, and begin to find peace amid the sorrow — all surrounded by the healing presence of God’s beautiful nature, our sweet horses, and farm/therapy dog Missy.
Spend quiet time with Hannah and Josie, whose gentle spirits often bring comfort to those missing their own animal friends. Walk the peaceful trail around our beautiful 14-acre property, follow the horses’ path, roam the wild areas or visit the gardens. You may feel moved to collect a small nature artifact, write in your journal, swing on the adult-size swings, climb up to the Treehouse on the hill, or simply pause and listen to the soothing sound of the waterfall.
At the big farm table you can add to our community art piece or create a special piece of art of your own to take home — perhaps something that helps you remember and celebrate your beloved pet.
We’ll re-gather at the end for an optional wrap-up sharing time. This is a safe, judgment-free space where your grief is welcomed and honored. Whether your loss is recent or one you’ve carried for years, you are warmly invited to come just as you are and let the farm hold you for a while.

DIRECTIONS TO FREEDOM FARM:
2484 W. River Rd. Traverse City, Mi.
Freedom Farm is located at the corner of River Rd. and Keystone Rd., where the new roundabout is closest to Chum’s Corners. The entrance to our driveway is on the River Rd. side of the roundabout. You’ll see two black mailboxes at the driveway entrance, just before you would enter the roundabout.
Come up the S-curved paved driveway, go over the railroad tracks past the first driveway (neighbors), then dead ahead you'll see our white "Welcome" sign with two smaller signs hanging underneath it. The drive splits to the right and left.
Our Freedom Farm sign points to the LEFT. Take that LEFT gravel drive, head up toward the BIG RED BARN on the RIGHT. Look for the green and white “Visitor Parking” sign.
(**DON’T go to the left toward the big tan pole barn with the green roof, again, that's our neighbor's property.**😅)
You can park anywhere near the red barn or pavilion. Come around past the berm into the yard and head down toward the horse barn where you will see us gathering in the big yard.
