Early Origins: The establishment first appeared in trade directories around 1831 under the name "Wells Arms".Name and Function Changes: By 1839, it was formally known as The Devonshire Arms. Interestingly, from 1902 to 1922, it was repurposed into the Devonshire Brewery.Relocation and Renaming: In 1908, the address of the site was officially adjusted to 139 Wellsway.
