CELEBRATE THE CHINESE NEW YEAR – AND THE YEAR OF THE SNAKE
Tonight, we have the remarkable privilege of transporting you around the world to an ancient land filled with wonder and excitement – all in a single evening. Step onto foreign soil and join us for an exclusive visit to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China!
In addition to an incredible program, you will be amazed at the incredible architecture, the wonderful artwork, and the cultural artifacts located
throughout the embassy.
Featuring:
AUTHENTIC CHINESE DINNER
We preparing a buffet dinner of exquisite Chinese delicacies. Tonight’s dishes will be prepared in a manner native to authentic Chinese menus.
DIPLOMATIC GREETING:
Meet young diplomats from the Embassy of China who will be on hand to answer questions about Chinese culture, Chinese American Relations, Visiting China, etc. A special welcome will be offered by a member of the embassy.
CHINESE ART: Surrounding this beautiful embassy are historic paintings, pictures, and artifacts that will be on display. Representatives from the embassy will be on hand to discuss their significance.
CHINESE CULTURAL PRESENTATION Celebrate the Snake with a native authentic Chinese band and dancers!
CELEBRATE THE RETURN OF THE PANDAS Welcome the returns of the panda to the Smithsonian National Zoo! Although they will be right down the road at the National Zoo (and not at the embassy) , tonight we will have a special “panda” among the crowd greeting every attendee and taking pictures!

GAMES AND PRIZES DUMPLINGS CLASS
The staff at the Chinese Embassy will help you learn how to make dumplings. If you wish, roll up your sleeves and partake in the class! Then, enjoy your creation!
KUNG FU
Local Kung Fu artists will be on hand to welcome in The Year of the Snake with a dedicated show and demonstration!
