Evening Semi-Guided Open Studio Social
Step into a space where the only thing on the agenda is exploration. This is an invitation to leave your inhibitions and the outside world at the door.
What to Expect:
A Politic-Free Zone: We are here to refresh our spirits. This is a sanctuary for art, ideas, and connection, a space for "smiling bigger" and leaving the world's noise behind.
The Soundtrack: Expect the familiar favorites of the 70s on the speakers. Singing along is not just allowed; it’s encouraged!
Side-by-Side Creativity: I will be in the room working on my own current project right alongside you. I am here by your side if or when you need a bit of guidance, a technical tip, or just a second pair of eyes. Maria Milazzo is the "Art Teacher on the Side"
Non-Judgmental Exploration: Whether you are a seasoned painter or picking up a brush for the first time, come prepared to share ideas and learn from each other.
"The Painters Attic" Prize:
Each session block includes a chance to win "Painters Attic Money" to spend on the unique treasures in our Vestibule of Vintage Items.
THE VIBE:
No pressure. Just the freedom to create at your own pace while surrounded by good music, good company, and a bit of vintage inspiration.
DETAILS:
When: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 6:00-8:00 pm
Tuition: $135 (4-session block)
Included: Use of professional-grade studio acrylics, watercolors, and brushes.

Quality Materials: I provide the same artist-quality paints and surfaces I use for my own work. Just so you know, there are no supply lists required.
Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own snack and drink. I will bring the coffee and cookies.

As a NJ-certified art teacher and professional artist, I am dedicated to building strength in our community through creativity and art. Adults for four 2-hour creative spaces $135. (Session A or B)

About the Instructor
Maria Milazzo has been the owner and operator of Young at Art in downtown Matawan since 1990. A 2007 graduate of Kean University with a degree in Art and Education, she was recently honored as the 2025 Spirit of Matawan for her contributions to the local arts community.
