Participants will learn to proclaim the Kerygma, connect doctrine to a personal relationship with Christ, and lead students into active participation in the Church’s sacramental life. The course emphasizes evangelizing families, engaging modern culture, and transforming catechetical settings into mission-driven environments.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Explain the New Evangelization and its focus on re-proclaiming the Gospel to a baptized but disengaged culture.
Articulate and apply the Kerygma in catechetical lessons.
Connect Church teaching to Christ so that doctrine flows from a lived relationship with Jesus.
Foster ecclesial identity by leading students into participation in the Eucharist and parish life.
Engage cultural challenges effectively using listening, validation, and evangelizing responses.
Partner with parents as primary catechists through practical tools “Car Ride Prompts.”
Create welcoming, mission-centered environments that reflect Christian hospitality and evangelizing intent.
