This engaging two-day course is designed for PTs, PTAs, OTs, and COTAs, offering evidence-based strategies for evaluating and treating individuals with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Participants will delve into:
Pathophysiology and clinical presentation of PD
Differentiating idiopathic PD from other parkinsonian syndromes
Current medical management and the role of exercise
Neuroprotection and motor learning principles in rehabilitation
Through case-based learning and discussions, you'll develop strategies to select appropriate examinations, outcome measures, and interventions. Leave with practical tools to enhance clinical decision-making and optimize outcomes for your patients!
