Activities

Please find below a list of activities you can experience at the EU Delegation in collaboration with the Embassies of Belgium and Ukraine.

• Science and Innovation: Learn about historic scientific achievements that have brought Europe and the US closer together over the years, test your knowledge, and even run a few experiements yourself!
• Culture: From Europe to the US and back, music, food, and art have brought the two continents closer together. Join us for great tunes and food. Enjoy chocolate, pizza, and olive oil!
• Brothers in Arms: From the American Revolution to WWI and WWI to Russia's Full-Scale invasion of Ukraine, Europe and the US have supported one another. Relive these moments and learn about the EU's commitment to Defense Spending.
• Trade: Did you know that Pennsylvania exports billions of dollars worth of soybeans to the EU? Or that the EU supports over 100,000 jobs in Illinois? Learn about the different products that flow across the Atlantic and maybe even try a few!
• Make Memories with Our Photoboth: A picture is worth a thousand words! Take a photo and have a souvenir to take with you!
• Explore Belgium with Smurfs, waffles, and more!
• Learn about Ukranian culture, traditions, and art!
• Win EU-themed prizes and more!

Additional Notes

• Photography and video recording will take place during the event for the use of the EU Delegation and EU Member States. Photos may be shared on our websites, social media channels and Flickr account. By participating in EU Open House, you agree to be photographed for social media purposes.

• By registering for this event, you assume all risks and agree not to hold the European Union Delegation to the United States or its staff, contractors, affiliates, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury.

Security & Safety

• No firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons, or explosives, either openly or concealed are allowed on the premises. The prohibition on firearms applies to all visitors, including those with firearm permits. No smoking or vaping allowed. No animals are allowed.
• To keep everyone safe, visitors will be required to walk through a metal detector before entering the venue. Those who are unable to go through the metal detector will be hand-screened by security personnel.
• Priority entry will be granted to the elderly, disabled, and individuals who are pregnant.
