About this Event
The European Forum for ECT (EFFECT) was formed in 2005 with the goal of promoting knowledge, research and access to ECT.
ECT is the most efficacious biological treatment for the most severe psychiatric disorders, however there persists a stigmatizing and negative image of this treatment option. To ensure that patients and service users across Europe have access to safe and effective treatment, EFFECT was founded to combat this stigma.
The next meeting of EFFECT will take place in the beautiful city of Bordeaux in the South of France on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September 2026. The conference venue is Neurocampus, Centre Broca Nouvella-Aquitaine, 146 rue leo Saignat, 33076 Bordeaux Cedex.
