Prof. Malgorzata Baranska, Dr Anna Nowakowska, Ms.Wiktoria Korona
Photothermal Spectroscopy Corp:
Dr Miriam Unger, Dr Mustafa Kansiz
The EurO-PTIR symposium brings together researchers from the field of vibrational spectroscopy to learn about the research and applications of multimodal O-PTIR, including simultaneous Raman and co-located Fluorescence microscopy across a broad range of research areas.
This interactive symposium will benefit anyone interested in advanced spectroscopy and multimodal imaging techniques and the new discoveries enabled by them. The program will include:
- Plenary, invited and contributed talks
- Posters with student prizes
- Instrument demonstrations and opportunities to run samples
- Tours of facilities
- Conference dinner and social program
Symposium Themes
- Life Sciences (cells, tissues, bacteria, protein aggregation etc)
- Environmental sciences (microplastics/nanoplastics, aerosols, etc)
- Biopharma/Pharma
- Industrial/Semi Failure Analysis
- Advanced Materials Science, Polymers and Photonics
Keynote speaker: Prof Ji-Xing Cheng, Boston University
We are delighted to announce that Professor Ji-Xin Cheng, Moustakas Professor of Photonics at Boston University, and a founder of photothermal infrared spectroscopy will be a keynote speaker, at this conference.
Title: Vibrational Photothermal Imaging - Principle, Instrumentation, and Applications
Professor Cheng is universally regarded as one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of vibrational spectroscopic imaging. He is a co-inventor of the O-PTIR (Optical Photothermal Infrared) spectroscopy technique pioneered by Photothermal Spectroscopy Corp. He is also a co-inventor of the CARS (Coherent Anti-stokes Raman scattering) microscope which he invented together with Professor Sunny Xie of Harvard University.
Abstract
Deadline: 11th of April, 2025
Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts according to the themes listed below, though other themes will still be considered;
- Life Sciences (cells, tissues, bacteria, protein aggregation etc)
- Environmental (microplastics/nanoplastics, aerosols, etc)
- Biopharma/Pharma
- Industrial/Semi Failure Analysis
- Advanced Materials Science, Polymers and Photonics
