ETHEREAL MOOD 0.2
About this Event
Part of Theatreship's guest nights - where contemporary artists take over the ship to highlight the stories they want to tell.
Here's some more info from them:
Join us for a night of experimental electronic music at the Theatreship.
Step aboard our beautiful 113 year-old ship and into its cosy theatre. Become fully immersed in the deeply textured, ethereal soundscapes created for you by our artists as you melt into the plush vintage velvet seats.
ETHEREAL MOOD highlights electronic music that isn’t necessarily dance music such as art-pop, ambiance and noise.

Laurie Erskine is a multifaceted London-based musician, composer, and producer. His current solo endeavor, patch_t41b, delves into a more abstract and ambient sound world, integrating digital textures, classical piano, and experimental composition. This shift reflects a broader progression in Erskine’s creative direction, moving from analog music rooted in the rock tradition to a body of work profoundly shaped by the atmospheres, technologies, cultures, and landscapes of the UK. patch_t41b explores the fascinating sonic collision of humans and machines.

Harpie is a swiss-french experimental and electronic musician and producer in South East London. Her music combines french lyrics with a moody witchy atmosphere. Expect ambient strangeness, french whispers and as always, an electric guitar.

Mali Bone is a singer-songwriter/producer living in South-East London, who mixes her very personal approach to pop music with experimental electronic sounds to bring to life for others the ethereal world in her head. Inspired by artists like Bjork, St. Vinvent and FKA Twigs Mali mixes Art Pop with elements of Trip-hop, noise, ambience and ASMR to create her brooding, atmospheric sound.

Theatreship is committed to broadening access to the arts - we know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some. If the regular ticket price is beyond what you feel able to afford for whatever reason, please don't hesitate to email us at [email protected] and we will do everything we can to help, no questions asked.
We also offer arts supporter tickets, for those that can, to pay a higher price to support the venue, the artists who perform here and subsidised tickets for others.
Due to the historic nature of the ship, we’re sorry to say there is not currently step-free access into the theatre space. We have dedicated staff on hand to help with stairs, and an onsite wheelchair once you’re inside the venue. If you have any access needs, please do e-mail us at [email protected].
