Join the ESU Creative Writing program as we welcome Emporia poet and ESU Alum, Kerry Moyer! Hear him read from his newest full-length poetry collection, Salt (Meadowlark Press, 2025). Wed. February 4

Kerry Moyer is the author of four full-length poetry collections, Salt, Rust & Weeds, Dirt Road, and Turnpike Prairie. His poetry and essays have appeared in 105 Meadowlark Reader, Flint Hills Review, Write Bridge Journal, and Thorny Locust among others.
He works as a mental health professional to guide struggling youth. Kerry is a gravel cycling enthusiast who has completed 1,000 miles of 100-mile cycling race events, and he holds a fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a first-degree black belt in Hapkido and has studied various other martial arts. He enjoys leatherwork, woodwork, tinkering, and playing guitar. He lives with his family in Emporia, Kansas.
