Estuary Dreams: Basildon Nights is a three night event bringing together cinema, live music, performance and poetry across South Essex. Curated by award winning Basildon filmmaker Aaron Shrimpton, the series celebrates the depth and range of contemporary creative practice in the region, moving from screen to stage to spoken word across three distinct evenings.

Our first evening Cinematic, invites you to step into the world of independent filmmaking with a carefully curated evening of experimental, documentary and narrative short films. From intimate stories rooted in place and memory to bold visual explorations of contemporary life, Estuary Dreams Cinematic brings together a diverse range of voices and approaches to storytelling.
Curated by award winning Basildon filmmaker Aaron Shrimpton, the programme celebrates film's power to challenge, inspire and spark conversation. The screening will be followed by a live artist Q&A, offering audiences the chance to hear directly from some of the filmmakers and artists behind the work.
