Essentials of Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery - This course focuses on the essential criteria necessary for all heavy duty operators operating equipment over 26,000 GVWR. Emphases are on safety, conduct & appearance, truck inspection & maintenance, equipment knowledge, ratings & tow capacities, air brake systems, basic recovery, calculating resistance, winches & wire ropes, towing & hookup techniques, and scene incident management. This training reflects industry standards, federal, state, and local laws, manufactures guidelines, and company policy.Basic Requirements:
Commercial Driver’s License or Commercial Permit.
Operators need to be prepared to have PPE equipment (Boots, Gloves, Safety Glasses, Head Protection, Work Wear) available all three days of this training.
Flip flop or open toe shoes will not be allowed.
