Essence of America: Epstein/Wang/Larsen Trio

The roots, diversity and potential of America are embraced by pianist Daniel Epstein, violinist Xiao Wang and cellist Ben Larsen. Acclaimed Black composer Adolphus Hailstork‘s “Piano Trio” begins with a commemoration of the Jewish Holocaust, and ends with a lively dance. Korean American composer Nicky Sohn gives us a lively “Rodeo.” and Antonin Dvorak’s “Trio” melds his Czech heritage with Native American and African American folk themes.
