Español 101 (part 2) with Cecilia GuajardoMondays, January 5, 12, 19, 26, February 2: 6-8 pm
This class is designed for beginners with some basic knowledge of Spanish at a beginner level. The class will cover basic subjects that are useful and relevant, with a focus on learning vocabulary and key grammar concepts, supported by written and oral practice. We will focus on use of adjectives, including colors; and how to tell the date and time, learning the numbers, months and days of the week. The course will also help students to gain a better understanding of Latin-American culture. By the end of this course, participants will be able to read Spanish with correct pronunciation and to build basic sentences in present tense. The students will develop or reinforce a strong foundation of the Spanish language and will be ready to continue learning and start communicating in simple situations. Participants should bring a note pad, pocket folder and pen/pencil.
Meet your instructor: Cecilia Guajardo was born and raised in Monterrey, México. She has a B.A. in Marketing and Communications from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has lived in Wisconsin since 2010. She loves to share her passion for the Spanish language, and embraces her roots, culture and traditions. Cecilia has been a Spanish Instructor for 15 years, since she relocated to the United States. She works for Moraine Park Technical College as Adjunct Faculty and for a local agency as a Medical and Community Interpreter. She’s also an active volunteer in our community.
