Espacio 1876: Gallery Opening at Buenos Aires Herald's Newsroom

To mark its 150th anniversary, the Buenos Aires Herald is opening Espacio 1876 / The Buenos Aires Herald Art Gallery — an art gallery inside its own newsroom. After a century and a half of explaining the world in words, the Herald is trying other languages.
The inaugural exhibition, Sensitive Data: documenting the invisible, brings together Yasmín Antún, Amira Ahumada, Constanza Ruibal and Lucía Reissig, working in iron, textiles, performance and image. The four artists give shape to what usually stays out of sight: the intimate, the domestic, the barely perceived — from territory and identity to the structures of private life and the bonds that hold us together. Curated by Florencia Magaril, the Herald's art curator.
On opening night, Constanza Ruibal and Yasmín Antún will each present a performance that takes their work beyond the exhibition format. Simja Dujov will play vinyl throughout the evening.
