"Ashbourne" in Chenequa was Alexander C. Eschweiler’s summer home - and its tranquil water views and rolling farmland were an inspiration for his work.
Brian Fette will present a history on the famed architect while his descendants will provide a personal perspective on the man who designed iconic structures like the Wisconsin Gas building, Charles Allis Art Museum and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the ridge protected by Tall Pines Conservancy, and experience a once-in-a-lifetime tour of the cottage he constructed. Refreshments will be served.
Advance Registration Required. $30 per person.
This tour is part of our Third Thursdays event series and Gathering Waters' Land Trust Days.
