Escaping Genocide: Jewish Refugees During the Holocaust
About this Event
During the Holocaust, thousands of Jewish refugees attempted to flee Nazi-occupied Europe, hoping to find freedom and safety beyond its borders. However, immigration was often made extremely difficult by political restrictions and practical obstacles. Join us to learn about several Holocaust survivors who immigrated to Michigan to rebuild their lives during and after the war. We will also share the stories of courageous individuals who risked their own lives to help refugees escape persecution and find safety.
This program offers a powerful look at resilience, survival, and the enduring impact of those who chose compassion in the face of unimaginable danger.
