Eric Gouldenis known to many as Wreckless Ericthough most are unaware of his prodigious recorded output since his beginnings on Stiff Records in the mid-seventies.
For this show Eric will be accompanied by Amy Rigby on guitar, plus Camille Dávila on synth bass and guitar, and Emily Winng on percussion. The three women (all incidentally divorced from drummers) will be singing harmonies, and Amy will be performing a couple of her own songs within the set. Eric will be playing guitar, and bass guitar while Camille plays her big old surf guitar.
Eric tends to do what he wants to do rather than what might be expected, but he will almost certainly play his big hit from the seventies, the enduring Whole Wide World. He may play other songs from various stages in his career, but the set will most likely focus on his new album, England Screaming released on Tapete Records in November 2025.
Expect songs, stories, soundscapes and a strange rocking time, but don’t come expecting a recreation of 1977 - the past forty-nine years of touring and recording have made him so much more than that.
Amy Rigby has established herself as one of America’s enduring underground artists, combining the insight and humor of country and folk songwriting with classic rock craftsmanship and punk DIY spirit. Raised in Pittsburgh, schooled in late 70s lower Manhattan, she formed country band nLast Roundup and Richard Hell’s favorite girl group the Shams in NYC's East Village before launching a solo career with 90s classic album Diary Of A Mod Housewife.
Her 2024 album Hang In There With Me was hailed “an absolute masterpiece” by Louder Than War.
Lassie are Emily Winng (UK) and Camille Dávila (USA) - one guitar, one drum, and an eerie and uncanny blend of vocal harmonies, darkly Lynchian psychedelia, folk rock and tribal punk.
EmilyWinng: wild, untamed, shock-red Medusa hair, ferociously powerful drumming;
Camille Dávila: sleek and shimmering, a groovy persona, oddly erratic with her retro guitar stylings...feedback and the sound of surf.
Lassie will be performing their own open set before joining Amy Rigby as backing group for Wreckless Eric.
