Eric Kallio has been creating his own fusion of folk and improvisational music while living in thesleepy village of Government Camp on Mt. Hood. With a strong background in lead improvisation, he spices up his singer/songwriter approach with versatile and harmonically complex embellishments. His albums “Glass Wood & Steel” and “Life Force” show his evolution
as a songwriter, as well as his ability to wield a wide variety of instruments and playing styles.
His live experience showcases a variety of different iconic American acoustic guitars. Offering original music and re-vamped traditional pieces, Eric does his part to hold the torch of modern folk music using his glass slide, steel tone bar, and finger-style approaches. His voice and guitar skills have been described as a mix between Paul Simon, Doc Watson, and Jerry Garcia.
